Evencia, or Evey as she’s known to her friends, is a proud Haitian American born and raised in Brooklyn. When she moved to Florida in 2000, she embraced a new chapter with genuine enthusiasm. Starting out at JC Penney and Banana Republic, she quickly discovered not only her knack for sales but also a natural ability to lead.
After earning her associate’s degree, Evey stepped into a role at Comcast Business in 2017 as an inbound sales representative. That opportunity lit a spark, and by 2018, after completing the Linked to Leadership program, she was promoted to Inside Sales Supervisor—navigating the challenges of a remote role during the COVID-19 pandemic with resilience.
Her drive led her to become a Senior Business Account Executive in 2021, a milestone that brought her to Pompano Beach and introduced her to the local Chamber of Commerce. There, Evey became an active community member—lending her insights to various committees, serving as an ambassador, and eventually joining the board of directors in 2023.
Never one to shy away from a new challenge, Evey also channeled her entrepreneurial spirit by launching Jell-E Shots in 2019, a mobile mixology business that earned her the title of Small Business Champion.
When she’s not busy breaking new ground professionally, Evey loves to travel and spend quality time with her family. Her journeys have taken her to enchanting places like Costa Rica, Jamaica, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Saint Martin, and the Cayman Islands—each adventure adding a personal and enriching touch to her life.
